How to verify Signet Secure

Criminals sometimes pose as couriers, police officers or bank staff to collect jewellery, gold and cash. These are the rules Signet Secure works to, so you can tell a genuine movement from a fraudulent one.

1. You arrange it — we never do. We only act on movements the client arranges directly with us. We will never contact a private individual out of the blue asking to collect valuables.
2. Every booking is confirmed by a call-back. Before any collection, we call the client back to confirm the arrangements. You can also call us at any time on 020 3355 4994 — always use the number shown on this website, never one given to you by a caller.
3. Identity is checked at both ends. The named handler is confirmed to you in advance, and the collection party and recipient are verified at collection and handover.
4. If anything doesn't match, stop. If the name, time or paperwork differs from what was confirmed, do not hand anything over. Call 020 3355 4994.

Police and banks never ask anyone to hand cash, cards, jewellery or gold to a courier. If you receive a request like this, end the call and contact your bank or the police using a number you already know.
